About

In the fall of 1973, a small group of New Testament Christians from the Howell Hill community
got together and purchased about 7 acres of land on McDougal Road to build a building in
which to meet. Ground was broken during the summer of 1975, and the members began
meeting in the basement in of October of that same year.
As the various programs of worship and work increased, the Lord blessed the work and a
larger facility was soon necessary. Construction of an auditorium and additional classrooms
began in June 1979. The addition was completed later that year, and the first sermon in the
new sanctuary was delivered on December 2, 1979. 

Ongoing evangelistic programs of the congregation include:

• Supporting mission work in India, Honduras and Panama

• Supporting the ministry of Crossroads Pregnancy Clinic

• Supporting the ministry of Riverside Christian Academy

• Activities to engage our membership and reach out to the community include:

  • Hosting vacation Bible school

  • Hosting gospel meetings

  • Hosting lectureship series

  • Hosting harvest festivals, egg hunts, and other youth activities

  • Secret sister program

  • Hosting numerous service projects throughout the year

  • Participating in church camp

  • Attending various youth conventions
